August FNS Meeting

Just wanted to remind everyone that we will have our annual White Elephant fundraiser during our meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.  Please bring in any numismatic items you are willing to donate to FNS.  We will auction them off to the membership and all proceeds will go to FNS, for the purpose of buying the prizes for the Coin Show raffle.  The last two years produced record-breaking income which fully paid for all the prizes.  Hopefully we can continue the trend in 2026.

Appropriate items include coins and currency, books, coin albums and holders, magnifiers, lamps, storage boxes, and anything else coin-related.  Usually Fresno Coin donates some nice items and we are grateful for their consistent generosity.  We can also accept baked goods for the auction like pies and brownies;  these usually attract strong bids.  Of course, you should bring some cash so you can bid on any items that appeal to you.

Since the auction will consume most of our meeting time we will forego the usual raffle and educational program.  We will hear member reports and have a membership prize drawing plus refreshments hosted by Steve Mendyk.  Hope to see everyone there!
