President’s Welcome

Welcome to the home page for the Fresno Numismatic Society. Our Society is your Local Coin Club, right here in Fresno, California. The FNS is dedicated to spreading the awareness of the hobby of collecting coins and currency.

The society was founded in 1946 and continues to meet on a monthly basis. As of January 2025 the Society is looking for a new permanent meeting venue. We have arranged to meet on the third Tuesday of January 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church on 1084 W. Bullard Avenue in Fresno, near the intersection of Palm Avenue. Meeting time will be our normal schedule of 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. If we find this location to be acceptable we can contract to meet there on an ongoing basis, on the third Tuesday of every month January through November. As always, the public is invited to check out our monthly meetings.

Our meeting programs include member reports, a feature presentation, refreshments, a silent or live auction, and a membership prize drawing. Most meetings include a raffle for nice coin prizes.  The Fresno Numismatic Society also hosts the annual FNS Coin Show in Fresno CA every October.

If you are interested in coins, currency, precious metals, or other numismatic-related topics, feel free to join us at our next monthly meeting. All are welcome and admission is free. We would be excited to meet you and share you enthusiasm about coins, currency, medals, or any other aspect of numismatics.
